Linking Script - Have you tried one?

Hi everyone,

Now that the craze is getting links (though targetted links would be better), have anyone tried one of those automated linking script like Arealis, Zeus, etc?

Do they actually help?

I've never personally tried one but I would tend to stay away from anything automated for SEO.

Without Zeus I would have no links.

Before this turns, yet again, into one of those Anti vs. Pro Zeus topics, I'll skip to page 10 of the posts and put what everyone seems to agree on in the End.

Zeus is a Tool. Use it incorrectly and it will cause problems use it correctly and it will be helpful.

Yea, I like to know more about Arealius and Zeus? Anybody else have good experience with them?

I have heard from people having sucess with Arealius more than Zeus

I got fed up with sending e-mails one day and downloaded Zeus. I found it took forever come up with the initial entry information, the processing took forever and many of the results seemed irrelevant or inappropriate. It may be one of those things that you have to spend some time with but I chose to spend my time with e-mails.

It's a free trial and it uninstalled without a hitch so all you'd be losing is time. I'm not familiar with Arealis but would like to hear from those who've found it helpful. The same with Zeus for that matter. Of all the things we do, link foraging can be among the most tedious.

Hi everyone, seems that more people are interested in what others have to say. The ones who have tried it are keeping pretty mum about it.

The reason I posted this question is because I have tried looking for linking partners and OMG, what a chore. But then, if it's got to be done, it got to be done, no matter how tough. However, if there's a software or script that can assist in the process, it'll be much much better :-)))))))))))

But before I plunk down the $$, I'd like some opinion.

I have Zeus and and I love it.

Diligaf is right about the spider though it's pretty worthless I've tweaked and tweaked and still get poor results.

What's great about it is that it creates my link pages and uploads them for me so every time I add or delete a link partner I'm not in there coding it. Also it allows me to audit my link partners to make sure their still linking to me with the push of a button and sending emails couldn't be easier.

The thing is you need to customize everything so it doesn't really look like Zeus or send the normal Zeus Email or most webmasters will ignore you because of unfounded fears.
