I am trying to figure out what helps a site rank in Yahoo. I seem to have landed a #1 position for the search term "bala shark". How I did that? I thought I knew, but other sites of mine seem to struggle when doing the same SEO tactics. What did I do to get this ranking?

Freshwater Aquarium Fish - Bala Shark Bay Aquariums

Welcome To Bala Shark Bay

Welcome to Bala Shark Bay!

Along with a libral sprinkling of the keyword and the fact that it's a fairly non-competative term.

I am getting quite a few hits from that term, daily. I know it is not the biggest keyterm I can target but it is getting nice traffic. I want to show at #1 for "aquarium fish". Do you think following the same pattern will do that?

Yeah I almost got it in MSN. I think the newness of my site and the fact it is less than a year old is hindering me in Google. I have no clue what is up with Yahoo at the moment. My plan is to just keep getting more and more links.
