The Way Google Displays Results Question?

Just curious why google shows some sites as a link only with no title or description?

For example:

http://www.google.com/search?q=adipex&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&start=10&sa=N


The #15 site displayed normal until yesterday.

Any thoughts or is this all part of the update.

This is usually caused by the site being down or unaccessible when googlebot paid his visit. No page to load so, no tilte, no description... so all you get is the URL.

That is odd since the site was maybe down for 20 seconds at most as some files were updated.

Okay, the site is now appearing properly again and has regained 8 spots to put it back in the top ten again. Very odd.

So if your site has been in Google for a while and the time it visits, it's down it'll not get a good ranking?

Doesn't google keep the info they have from before and display it until the site's been down for a while.

I did not get this problem. But read quite a few posts on different forums about this. It may be something else. But some did see that a site down would sometimes give just a link.
