I have a question, which I cant find answered anywhere, or maybe Im just missing it.

I have several of the same themed sites on DJing. I have a full class C of IP space. Will the big engines penalize me if I link say www.1stdomain.com to the IP 1.1.1.1, then the second domain www.2nddomain.com to IP 1.1.1.2, etc?

The reason I asked this is the fact that I do NOT want to pay a hosting company to host all my sites just to get a different IP block, if indeed this is taking into account.

I know lots of hosting companies have limited IP numbers, and sometimes, or most of the time, use the same IP for several of their clients sites.

You input in much appreciated, and I thank you in advance.

From what I have read and a SEO conference that I went to it is better to have your domains on different class C IPs. The people at the conference were saying that they have had a lot of success by creating sub-domains and putting them on different class C IPs. From what they were saying Google likes seeing different class C IPs when it comes to links.

Dont have the reference to back this up just what I heard. Maybe someone else can add their two quarters to the mix.
