Ok,

I know that everyone is looking all the time for good hosting. I found this company that really is doing a great job when it comes to hosting. And just to set the record straight I do not get any kickbacks or anything from the company. I just was so impressed with how they did business that I thought I would pass it on. I have gone through quite a few hosting companies and this guy - the one that owns the company, Brad really went above and beyond the call.

When you go to the site you will notice that there are no prices on the page. That is because they listen to what your needs are and price it out accordingly. He also will match other prices that you might have seen or beat them.

Any how if you are interested in checking them out here is the site http://www.eznetideas.com. Hope that it helps everyone

What does he mean by "Shared" web hosting? Do you get a unique IP address or does it vary?

If someone knows a host that, all for all, looks better than Pair Networks (http://www.pair.com/) , please post and say why you think they're better.

(Consider not just cost, or even features offered, but reliability--backups, downtime, that sort of thing.)

Owlcroft,

I have never used the company that you are talked about in your other post, but this company that I posted at the top does not get my thumbs up because they are cheap. They get it because of the service that was offered. The ability of the staff to help. The features that were offered and also how they changed configuration in the server to match what our company needed. One of the other things is how they let me choose all sorts of different features that fitted my needs; I did not have to fit into one of their set program deals. Now on top of all of this they did have great prices.

I appreciate you telling us about the other hosting company because I am always looking for different class c IPs to do hosting with.

Gas Scooter,

I do not know about the dedicated IP address, but I do know that you can get your own server with its own IP at really great prices.

I didn't mean to imply that I thought you were using only price as a criterion: in fact, it was your mention of the help you got--" this guy - the one that owns the company, Brad really went above and beyond the call"--that really caught my eye. If a new user is talking direct with the owner of the company, it stands to reason that the company is, at least in a relative sense, small. That has an upside, in that you can, as you have seen, get some direct assistance. But it has a downside too.

Hosting is more than sitting a computer on a desk and hanging out your shingle. There are issues of volume connectivity, distributed backup, emergency facilities, and--excuse the expression--a host of other matters. A large, long-established hosting company is going to have those things covered, in spades. Here are some stats on Pair (http://www.pair.com/about/stats.html) , but perhaps the leading indicator is "151,388 sites hosted" (or "on a typical day, we deliver over 3 Terabytes of data"). You also sort of have to like this: We have no long-term debt, we've been profitable since 1996, and we reinvest our profits into further growth of the business.

I repeat that this is an unsolicited and uncompensated testamonial. I found these folks some years ago through a link on a well-respected computer-tech site, and have never looked back.
