Ok guys, just looking for an opinion on whether you think that this site might be considered a "link farm" by Google or not.

Teraparts (http://www.teraparts.com)

The URLs all link to my other site... and I'm guessing that's bad. The follow-up question is whether breaking this up into separate pages, say by make/model, would make a difference? So instead of having all of these links on one page, I would have about 20-25 internal links on the front page, to a page that has only the links to part IDs for that specific car make.

It isn't a link farm per say, but it is a terrible supporting site. This site was not made for users, it was made for search engines and for 1aauto in specific.

And Google will be able to pick up on that, I assume?

Would my alternate solution from my original post (breaking it into multiple pages) be a good improvement? Or would I need to have links to other websites as well?

Sorry, but I can't really advise you in this matter. I consider myself a very whitehat SEO and this type of thing is too gray for me. I would say just don't do it at all, but others may see things differently.

That's a good enough answer for me then. Down it comes.

I'm doing my best to be "whitehat" myself. It's tough though, when you've got a boss breathing down your neck. At the beginning of the year (and for at least 6 months) I had as many a PR 6 and as 36,000 pages listed in Google. I was flying high, kicking butt. Now I'm down to PR 5 and between 20,000 and 25,000 depending on the day.

Desperate times called for desperate measures, thanks for keeping me sane.

it seems like a lot of things that generally fly fine for most people some people get snagged on.

I've seen sites greybar'd for buying links, and nothing more.
