Hi,

that's a really tricky question actually..... it could be a million reasons and it would help if we had the url.

In my recent experience (but every site is unique) it happened after I did a 301 redirect. For 3 weeks the site was a mixture of dropped pages, pages with no cache, pages with no snippet (url only). Then suddenly I had the lot indexed, cached and "snippetised"... the world was beautiful... :D
