Ok, no SEO expert here. But as far as your site layout, I have a comment

When looking at your home page, I found my self only concentrating on one thing. Your left Nav bar, cause its Yellow.

All the text and stuff on the rest of the page doesnt do anything to draw my attention to it, and I am sure there is allot of work in there and good info, but I just stare in a trance at the yellow bar.

Pretty yellow bar, the precious.....

They rest of the page looks like its allot of reading, and just doesnt grab me.
I find that on most of your pages.

It could be my incredibly low IQ.

what words are you trying to optimise for?

I'm no super duper seo expert as Morgan will tell you, but I would suggest ditching the following code :

<meta name="language" content="en-us">
<meta name="owner" content="info@e-zest.net">
<meta name="revisit-after" content="2 days">
<meta name="rating" content="General">
<meta name="ROBOTS" content="ALL">

and I'm not sure what all of the following does, but suggest you pop it into an external file :

<script language=JavaScript>
<!--

function MM_findObj(n, d) { //v3.0
var p,i,x; if(!d) d=document; if((p=n.indexOf("?"))>0&&parent.frames.length) {
d=parent.frames[n.substring(p+1)].document; n=n.substring(0,p);}
if(!(x=d[n])&&d.all) x=d.all[n]; for (i=0;!x&&i<d.forms.length;i++) x=d.forms[i][n];
for(i=0;!x&&d.layers&&i>d.layers.length;i++) x=MM_findObj(n,d.layers[i].document); return x;
}

function MM_showHideLayers() { //v3.0
var i,p,v,obj,args=MM_showHideLayers.arguments;
for (i=0; i<(args.length-2); i+=2) if ((obj=MM_findObj(args[i]))!=null) { v=args[i+2];
if (obj.style) { obj=obj.style; v=(v=='show')?'visible':(v='hide')?'hidden':v; }
obj.visibility=v; }
}
//-->

</script>
<script language="javascript">

function goServices()
{
var index=document.FrmIndex.select.selectedIndex
if(index!=0)
window.navigate(document.FrmIndex.select.options[index].value)
}

function goProducts()
{
var index=document.FrmIndex.select2.selectedIndex
if(index!=0)
window.navigate(document.FrmIndex.select2.options[index].value)
}

function searchText()
{

if(window.document.FrmIndex.textfield.value=="")
{
alert ("Search text can not be left blank");
window.document.FrmIndex.textfield.focus();
return false;
}
else
{
window.document.FrmIndex.action="recursiveSearch.asp"
window.document.FrmIndex.submit()
}

}
</script>

<script language="javascript">
function GoToezestcom()
{
if(window.document.FrmIndex.username.value=="")
{
alert ("Username can not be left blank");
window.document.FrmIndex.username.focus();
return false;
}
else if (window.document.FrmIndex.password.value=="")
{
alert ("Password can not be left blank");
window.document.FrmIndex.password.focus();
return false;
}
else
{
window.document.FrmIndex.action = "http://e-zest.com/eze-pm/index.php";
window.document.FrmIndex.submit();
}
}
</script>

OK without doing any keyword research here's my thoughts (by the way I'm a rank amateur at this so proceed at your own risk)

1. There's too much stuff in the <head> portion of your HTML. You have too many keywords in the meta tag (stick to 3 or four I'd say) and some other meta information that shouldn't be there. Remember try to minimise the amount of unneccesary code the 'bots have to crawl through.

2. Try to use CSS to position your elements rather than tables. This will help reduce your code size.

3. I think your title tags and alt tags could do some with some work. There's a space at the beginning of the title tag for example, get rid of it.

4. Your primary keyword should be the first text in both your page title and H1 tag.

5. You have 228 incoming links in Google. Using the MCDARS tool for the top 10 for 'Offshore Software Development Company' your page compares pretty well (and is ranked 8 for this phrase). This sounds OK but using the keyword suggestion tool on www.digitalpoint.com this shows only 4 overture searches per day for this phrase. Not many. You might need to rethink what keywords you are targetting.

Here's some general thoughts on page design that I've picked up from reading here and elsewhere

1. Try to concentrate each page on 1-3 keywords or keyword phrases. So you might have your index page concentrating on 3 primary key words. Use the keyword tool on www.digitalpoint.com to get an idea of good keywords to target.

2. Also remember to link to your front page from other pages using these keywords in the anchor text.

3. I'm no expert but one opinion on <h1> <h2> tags is to drop your primary keyword/phrase in the <h1> tag and your other 2-3 targetted keyword/phrases into <h2> tags. Dont forget that Google might give some weighting to <b> around key words or even <i> in the normal body text. Don't go silly with <b> or <i> because it probably looks funny and might be considered spamming

4. Remember when linking back to your front page use <a href="http://www.e-zest.com">Primary Keyphrase</a> not just /index.htm.

5. Then I'd have information pages concentrating on other keywords you are interested in. So a page for 'software outsourcing'. Remember to call this 'software outsourcing' page 'software-outsourcing.htm' and to link to it from your other pages using the anchor text <a href="../software-outsourcing.htm">Software Outsourcing</a>. Try to get external links to these product pages using the same anchor text.

That's a very good summary Mark.

Target traffic - build the KWs into the text - update html

Thanks Mark for detailed analysis and extensive SEO knowledge shared with us. digitalpoint.com tools are really cool. I have used them extensively today and found them very useful. Specially for Keyword Suggestion.

One query: What exactly is MCDARS tool? Please suggest URL is possible.

Thanks and Regards,
