301 redirect?

I have a website that is currently 100% html. It is a pain to edit when I want to add new pages. I am ranking well on all my pages so I don't want to do anything major that will interupt my traffic.

I'm thinking of making my pages all php to make editing easier. Should I do a 301 redirect for all my pages. I probably have about 30 - 40 pages. Or should I do some sort of mod rewrite?

Thanks!

I think a better approach would be set up your server to process your or parse your htm files as php ones. You can do that with htaccess too.

It's quite server intensive though depending on how many visitors you get, but would that suit you?

I doubt you'll get that chance bumping a thread that's over three months old... but who knows.

It's more style than ethics... old threads being "bumped" is generally perceived as spam unless it was by someone involved in the discussion that may have new information or new questions. Even so, it's best then to start a new thread and reference the old with a link to the discussion.

Typical reasons for bringing up "dead threads" are promotional links, forum sig spam... etc.
