like tom said if you have good keyword density and relevant pages promoting that keywords then it definitely does good in Yahoo.

I m not agree with you point .. have you checked yahoo explorer ..it gives you backlink detials .. and it always more than using link command in google.

So , i think yahoo counts your link faster than google.

FYI, the main thing is - If you are optimizing the site for Yahoo, you can better do by on-page factors compared to off-page because as compared to Google, in general it is easier to rank for the same keywords in Yahoo (Not for all keywords although).
