Cool page I must say

Hi from Russia :) !

You have a really cool page I must say.
Lots of cool info. Especially I liked SEO tests.

I also have some questions to you.

1. How old r u? Really interesting.

2. Is SEO a good business in the US? I mean is it worth all the efforts? Can one make a fortune on SEO?

Ok. I hope to get a reply on my message. Thanks for your page.

Nick from Russia

Hi Nick:

I can't speak for SEO Guy ( who has a ton of PR to throw around!! hehe ), but SEO work can be lucrative. It can also be a bit risky. I was officially an "SEO" for about a year. I did fairly well financially, considering I really enjoy wrestling with the search engines.

The Florida update cost me a few thousand dollars, but 90% of the sites I manage weathered Florida and Austin fairly well. My SEO strategy has always been to out-build the competition; use language, technical writing, and structure rather than soley utilizing on-page optimization and link-building.

All of my own website projects got neglected though! I decided it was far better to take a very few clients in the capacity of website architecture consultant rather than just an SEO, and begin to focus on my own projects. Thusfar, I have found it far more rewarding to provide knowledge rather than an actual service.

Seo Guy:

Would you mind sending me the phpbb forum mod ( or a resource ) that allows you to format the forums, topics, and posts with a standard .html extension? That is VERY nice!

seo guy 02-15-2004 10:53 PM

Of course Jason:

We are actually in the process of writing www.mod-rewrite.com and this is the engine for outputting such formatted params. I will not send you the mod for this one as my programmer has just figured out a new way to do it in only 2 lines of code: Please email seobob@seo-guy.com and reference this post and he will send you instructions

For more information on mod_rewrite (Until my site is done) please visit http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_rewrite.html you should learn all you need to know
Cheers

SEO Guy,

Well. . . I wanted to convert my phpbb forum to html extensions. I am running a mod-rw to convert cgis to html so I wasn't sure how to combine the two.

However now I just joined your mod-rw forum to get the info. :)

Chris
