Penalty for Less links on home page?
 

Hi,
Just Curious to Know -
I know google penalise site if its having more than 200 links on its home page.
But, Can a site be penalise or treated as spam or can be given low PR if its having very few links on its home page?
If it is so, then what is the minimum number of links ?
Also, how many links should be there for a good PR?
Any one having idea!

I'm not definate, but I would think that Google doesnt give a penalty to sites with a few links on their homepage.

have seen many single-page sites without a single ibl or obl doing pretty well.

I think you just want to make sure that Google can get to the rest of your sites pages from the home page (via a sitemap or menu or whatever). There shouldn't be a penalty for not having links.

Not Sure!! But i know few sites which have more than 200 links from index page itself.
