Infopop

Anyone use Infopop for forums?

there long string urls are horiblle....

Anyone know if they offer mod rewrite features or anything?

Do you have an example of a site your using it on? We could certainly take a look for you. Wont need a mod_rewrite feature as mod rewrite is done in htaccess anyways it is just a case of can we make sense of their logic and write appropriate rules for it.

Mine is http://longislandexchange.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x

I think I'm going to switch to vBulletin

My fourms arent getting crawled at all except the entry page....

I hear vB is better....

Should I switch? Is vB really that much better? It's definetly cheaper....
Infopop is charging me 21$ US a month.

That board is getting crawled..... WOW surprising with all the parameters....

Maybe PR6 is causing a type of forced crawl????

Yeah VB kicks ass and you can probably find a free script for xfering your Db's

Just a note, dont do mod_rewrite on VB for the main forums because it has a search engine friendly archiving feature so its not necessary, thats why I dont do it here.

I swear by VB 3 now that I have it Thanks DIGITALPOINT :)
