That's like getting pissed at the newspaper for not writing about your company :p

at this point the posts have become rhetorical circle talk. do you want to make one last post before we close the thread Blue Gecko?

I do. I would like to say that I think we've both presented our points of view strongly and stand by them 100%.

Just for clarity: I know that we've both been passionate to the point of bashing each's site, but I just want to make it clear that I have nothing against you or your site. I think that ranking for any competitive search term (especially "SEO") takes a lot of work and I respect your ability to rank sites for both you and your clients.

I have also heard good reviews about your seo book, and will consider purchasing it.

I'd also like to add that according to your profile on here, we have the same birthday :)

So anyway, I appreciated the debate and hope that others will ignore the personal stabs and name calling, and find the point of views that we've brought to light very useful. In my mind, it is obvious that we both know SEO very well... we just have different approach to the best methodology.

I wish you the best and hope that we can do this again sometime (preferably on the same team) :)

Good fight.. Good night.

yea... I don't have anything against you particularly, I just believe that search engines use the "report spam" link as a marketing ploy. I think Yahoo! is a bit more prone to listen to spam reports than Google though.

I have worried long and hard about things out of my control and from my own personal experience it is best to work harder at doing things you can control. Sure you can still report the spam things you see if you want, but if you do then report and then move on to keep making a better site.

There will always be people who are better at individual parts of design or seo or social networking. Take what you are strong at and run with it and then try to do at least ok in the weak spots.

The bulk of any success I currently experience with my own sites is due primarily to the fact that I have made many great friends at various SEO forums such as this one.
