bl's ?

Hello everyone Just have a few questions

I have a site that I want to rank good in google for the keyword "Right hand Drive Jeeps" but there is a site that ranks higher then my site but anchor text for bl's are "Right hand Drive Jeeps" and most with "Jeeps" as anchor text will I need more links then hem in generial or more links with the an text "right hand drive jeeps"?

Focus on getting links from sites with higher PR than yourself and the anchor text should include your full keyphrase if possible. It isn't necessary to repeat 'Right Hand Drive Jeeps' to such an extend your site. Google might penalize you for that. Keep it clean and just get the links.

That was not the reply I was looking for the above was an example. I plan to rank for a high traffic keyword but there are some big sites showing up for the keyword.

here is what i am trying to do:

Keyword:"Home and Garden"
#1 www hgtv com with PR8 #1 in allinanchor

#5 www homeandgardenparty com PR5 #5 in allinanchor only has under 700 links with anchor text "home and Garden"

If I build 700 - 1000 links with that keyword will I have a chance of getting top 10 after the all the filters ware off.

I am looking to get in the top ten and was wanting to know if I target a more defined keyword will I rank better then some one targeting a generic keyword?

You have to get more backlinks for sure. But if you get 1000 links, don't just get them with "home and garden" as anchor. Most say you should mix this a bit so it does not look bizarre.

How many anchor would you use for 1000 say 10 or so?
