I've moved this post from the Google forum to the Yahoo one, because it clearly has NOTHING to do with Google, despite the title.

Isn't the problem that the name "von dutch" is associated with a famous artist? It looks to me that yahoo can't tell if you are interested in fashion products or modern art, and has returned a selection. I agree yahoo seems to have placed great emphasis on the url though.

I have a similar problem with a site that has a domain name that is the same as a popular tourist resort in San Fransico. I can't rank for my own domain name - probably never will.... if only I'd known then what I know now.....
