I am thinking, What should I say in this context, whether matt is right or wrong? But the thing is, we always used all these techniques and methods like relevant link exchange, better content which has good density of keywords (relevant) every time for every website we got.
But I am just wondering, that if my clients comes from a irrelvant place in high amount, then, what can matt say about it?
Relevacy is important, we all knows, but the actual SEO is a analyst who makes that relevancy in a irrelevant page.
