I've figured the answer for myself. Google will still do it's normal indexing method, plus utilize the sitemap. I started this thread last week. I first started off with only 36k pages indexed, and a week later, thanks in large part to the Google sitemap, I have over 103k+ pages indexed.
I love Google sitemaps.
