html to shtml

hey guys i have a site ranked on the second page in msn for my keyword and i want to know if changing the page from html format to shtml format will effect the se rank. Will msn see this page as a different page? I want to run some rss feeds on my site to add content and with the script i have, i need to change to shtml.

If it's because you wanna use includes, just go in your CPanel and you go in the server setting and in the apache handles... you add html as server parsed and the html files will be treated as shtml. No need to lose the pages because you renamed them... have fun... well if it's because you wanted to use includes...

I am trying to put rss feed on my webpage to help with my SEO effort. putting relevant, constantly updating content on my site my help me get from second page results to first page. Search engines seem to love this sort of content so im going to try it out. So if i do a redirect from the site to another wont help in the effort to boost my rankings, if anything it will hurt. Thanx for you input anyways Web10.
