Well, after five months Yahoo finally put some more of my pages in their results. Happy, happy, joy, joy!

They were only showing my index page previously. No, I never paid for inclusion. It's not showing all the pages. But, maybe next month.
I'm finally optimistic about all this.

And, the big news is that Yahoo has my site ranked #5 for one of my most important keywords "genealogist". YES! Hopefully, this will help get lots of new traffic.

This afternoon, I had some Chinese take-out for lunch. My fortune cookie said I'd have a change of luck today. That's one smart cookie. I guess I'll take it's fortune more seriously next time.

Great stuff Mel woohoo, you will find although yahoo takes way longer to update thier rankings are easier to manipulate. Their focus is a lot more on onpage content so you should be able to climb even higher.

hey mel, thats great. Do me a favor, let me know what kind of traffic diffrence you experience now that your in the top 10 for yahoo. I really have no concept of what the traffic diffrence would be from not being listed on yahoo.

I can tell you right now Yahoo is crap for traffic lol according to overture the top 3 search phrases for "SEO" in april are

19279 seo
10213 seo company
4866 seo services

As far as I know I rank #1 for all of them in yahoo so that means 34358 searches last month mostly coming from yahoo

Here is my traffic for those terms from yahoo in the month of april
SEO = 570 searches
SEO Company = 97
SEO Services = 62
(Thank god I have thousands more terms or id be screwed for traffic lol)

I dont know if its the difference of having those freaking PPc ads up above or not but for me in the SEO field traffic from yahoo licks my big toe!

lol nice to see for my site in april more people typed in "SEO Guy" then "SEO Company" and who says internet consumers dont know what they want lol

Ok, I just didn't want any rain on my parade for a few hours.
Ignorance is sometimes bliss.

But, really any traffic increase at all would be great.
I only get about 40 uniques a day now.
Yahoo can only help.
