have been trying to get higher rankings in google for a year now.......best i could do was 6hundred something to 4hundred something.........

any ideas

yahoo is showing 41 backlinks for you. you need to get a lot more with your keyphrase as the anchor text.

I would also clean up the code: use external javascript files, insert heading tags, construct the table w. your text first.

And as mentioned before, get tons of incoming links...

backlinking

i always found the easiest way to gain backlinks (without paying for them) was to visit relative forums and post the url every few days... crawlers pick them up fairly nicely because forums are constantly updated. takes a bit of time, but hey if it works?

Thanks for your help.......I really appreciate it.......i didn't understand what using external javascript files meant.... ? If its easy to explain that would be great....otherwise i'll get cracking on some studying.......i've started my backlink building campaign

place all your javascript code in a file called javascripts.js

then in your html page refernce the javascript file just as you would a css file. Here is an example of the code you can use:

<script LANGUAGE="JavaScript" src="javascripts.js"></script>

Stick this right below your include for your css file
