My site not in SERPS
- If your site is new and has no backlinks (links to your pages) then it may not be indexed. Submission is not enough / usefull. Get some links from lots of sites.
- If your site was there and just disapeared, wait 2-3 days. I have rock solid rankings that do just this. They usually come back after 2-3 days to be as solid as before.
- If your site had a PR and now has a PR0, you might have been banned. Search for your domainname.com with no www in the toolbar. If you get the "No results could be found... bal bla bla" and no link to your site... bad news.
- If your site's rankings jump a lot, maybe you change the pages and cache is not in sync, there is an update going on, google reverted to old cache... If it just moves a bit up and down... it's only everflux and normal.
- If your site is in a competitive field like real estate, casinos ... this not showing in SERPS is the case of lots of sites. Take on smaller keys until you grow enough to fight.

What would cause you to be banned?

I have a PR of 5 for my site. Which isn't too bad since it has only been open for 2 months. But, I get no results in any of the keywords I need for my site to be relevant. Is there a way to see what Google thinks is important about your site? I mean they obviously think it is relevant to something, I just don't know what they think it is! :-)

Forgot to introduce myself :-)
Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself before my first post :-) Just finished reading the forum rules. I am new to SEO and web development in general. I opened my first site in April and I love it. I never thought I would like this kind of work as much as I do. Anyway, I won't take up any more of your time. If someone can help with my previous post I would appriciate it. If not, no biggie I will figure it out eventually.
BTW, My real name is Chris
Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
It's good that you added your second comment, and added your signature so we can look.
Your site uses session ID's I think. Google dislikes session ID's.
So you'll have to read about MOD_REWRITE, to make your files spider friendly.

You are right in that session IDs are used however it is set to detect spiders and not use sessions IDs when "well-known" spiders access it. IN fact, if you search Google for my web address and view all sites it does not have any with sessions IDs. That still doesn't explain why I have an OK PR but not on the keywords I want. I want to find out what keywords I am good for :-)

This is basically one of THE hard one.
For example, for poker is a no-no, I'm not strong enough for that. So I go for things like 'poker game download' and other smaller keys. Try for some smaller keys that includes the main one. Like 'poker game', 'poker' with my above example. When you'll hit for the smaller key, chances are you'll get closer with the bigger one, and eventually be able to work to get it.
