I just recently submitted one of my sites to BOTW to, well as all of us do to get hopefully better recognition & prominence in the engines.

Anyways, my site & company blog where excepted and placed in the ADULT category within the directory. This is what concerns me at this point. Once i received confirmation on where the site is listed based on the url provided, i noticed that tracing back the progression of the placement, there was no link on the directory page to begin to find my site, no blog....

Matter of fact, the only way to find my site, is by putting in "adult " in the search bar to "unlock" the hidden category.

So my question is, what good is my placement (paid) in this directory, if there is no visible link or path for the bots to follow my to my site from the directories main page?

Basically at this point, at least IMO I totally wasted my money for the intended purpose. Please if anyone can shed some light on this and there opinions as to what i should think, please chime in.

PS - My site is of adult nature selling adult toys and novelties. It also has lingerie on it. I would place link here, but im sure it would be construed as porn, which IMO is not.... thus not allowed to be posted....

Hi Dan,

There are, minimum, two issues here. 1) The page on BOTW should (eventually) be cached in Google and 2) there should be an unambiguous link; http://www.example.com link to you site with you link text. You can double check to see if the link is showing up in Yahoo or in your Webmaster Tools console but if both criteria aren't met then I'd suggest the link doesn't have any SEO value.
