Ok, every time I see the thread headline of "I'm Puzzled...Does anyone know why?", I have to laugh. No, I don't know why you are puzzled but you might want to go through the following checklist...
1. You are drunk
2. You are high
3. You left your brain at the party you went to last night
4. Your parents were siblings, and the result of their mating was a puzzled child
5. Other unknown reason
Sorry, no offense intended to the original poster, I just couldn't look at the thread title again without making this comment.

Maybe they are watching a good mystery movie and that is why they are puzzled.

geez only three pages indexed. I know that I have to fix the fact that I have urls that look like this: http://www.smartmoneydaily.com/Prod...x?productID=443
I am going to do a URL re-writer but I had been told that google can index dynamic pages...is that true?
I also put up a site map to try and get the site indexed, it's been two weeks, how long should it take to get indexed?
Thanks,
Jonno

That's the best post I've read all year dazzlindonna. But to answer Jonno: Yes dynamic stuff is OK. 3 variables maximum. Mod Rewrite is better. I always go for URLs rewritten as html. Loads of high quality inbound links will encourage Googlebot to crawl (it'll want to know what's going on). Varied and deep links are best. Make sure you have substantial (more than a couple of lines), unique information on each page.

And that, Vord, is the best SEO in a nutshell I've read.

It can take a few wweeks to index, Jonno.
sometimes days only.
I have only heard of 9 hours as fastest indexing so far.

Well...I'm still puzzled ( ).
I've implemented the URL re-writer so I have nice SEF URLs, I've got the site map up with links to every page. I also corrected a problem that I had with my Meta description tag but still Google has only indexed my home page as compared with 31 pages indexed by MSN's new search.
Can anyone see anything else that I am doing to discourage the Google bot.
I'm talking about my SmartMoneyDaily site in my sig.
thanks for all the help,
Jonno
