Does Transferring Registrar Hurt?

Am i OK to change domain registrars (Dotster to GoDaddy)
This will not affect SE rankings, right?

Just want to make sure, i would hate to tranfer and find out later i shouldn't have.

I can't imagine that there would be any issue as long as the url resolved when the bots came by but I've never done it. Never heard of anyone wanting to switch to Go Daddy before. What's the issue with Dotster? I mean if it's just a few bucks a year and only a few domains...

Changing registrar will not affect your SEO what may affect is the server location of your hosting company.
So choose your web host properly and if possible register your domain name for a long period.

Yes, my plan was to save a few bucks. I'm looking at saving 500.00 per year going with godaddy. I'm also switching from shared to dedicated hosting, trying to save a few more bucks.
I hope these changes go smoothly...

I'd stay away from go daddy personally. I've never used them but there have been reports of issues regarding redirects as of late. The other things that I've read were mostly to do with hosting and were some time ago.

Dedicated hosting is definitely the way to go IMO unless there's a bunch of networked sites.... then it can be one of the worst things IMO.

Thanks for the replies, I never liked godaddy either until recently. I like their customer console and i'm getting 2 year registration for the price of one year at dotster. Plus they offer free domain forwarding.
What do you mean by networked sites? I have alot of sites within the same industry and some link to one another. I plan on giving each their own IP address.
