Thumbs up How to get Google to crawl deeper

Hey all

I recently posted a topic about only my homepage being indexed (http://www.seo-guy.com/forum/thread13883.html). 1 week on and google has now indexed all of my level 2 pages!! Cool !

How do I get it to now go that extra level down?

You probably understand what I mean but to give an example:

armani designer clothing - INDEXED
> armani jeans - not indexed
> armani shirts - not indexed
> etc..

The site is: http://www.designerclothesforless.co.uk

Do I need to just continue waiting it out or do I need to do something?

Thanks for all your help!
-Ben

Try to get some inbound links to those pages. They will get crawled quickly if you do.

I usually try to make all of my website pages accessable within 3 clicks of the homepage. This makes it easier to navigate and quicker to be indexed.

You may want to consider creating a Google site map and a general sitemap that you have linked to on your home page. That will also help.

First make sure that your inner linking structure is correct. If it is correct dont worry too much just wait for some time. However you can build some quality links towards your site for a faster indexing.

Just as a side note. I recently fixed up a website that had been around for several years. The guy only had the first page of the site indexed and this was for many different reasons. The first was his menu structure used JavaScript DHTML. I have heard that the spiders can crawl these links, but as a general rule of thumb, you should use <a href="" links.

Second, he didn't have any inbound links, maybe one or two to the home page and that was it. I replaced the JavaScript navigation with a CSS based solution (looked the same), created a Google sitemap, and got him about 3 links from directories (I wasn't really paid for all of that or I would have done more). Within about a week, 90% of his pages where indexed by Google.
