Lightbulb Struts and Dynamic Pages

Are there any work arounds when it comes to Struts and Dynamic pages?

If every page has an action won't a crawler or spider get caught and only index the first page, but not the other pages?

Would the best alternative be to build more of a search engine friendly web site?

Thanks, AutoCheck man

It depends on how you are using the struts and dynamic pages, certainly no matter what server technology you are using you can do a rewrite on the URL's so that "dynamic" isnt a problem, but I've only ever worked on one site using jacarta struts and it indexes just fine

I know that filters help hide the ugly stuff to the right of the ? in a query string with logical pages that appear to a spider (and access logs) as seperate pages. Check out caribbean-guide.info. All of the articles there are dynamic from a db.

I have a question. With all the importance of SEO, why would Struts base so much of their technology on an initial redirect? All of the tutorials I have read say to create a dummy index.jsp page that redirects the user to the action servlet. Don't they know that redirecting is the #1 no-no?!!

Does anyone know of a way around this?

I am not sure they can detect the redirect automatically, and if reported, I think the techs at Google are smart enough to realize its not an attempt at deceit.
