Hi Cygnus,
I am very new here, and new to webmastering my own sites. So, I will mostly only be posting the newbie section, but I see some of the pros answer questions there, so maybe I'll see you.
I am also from Arizona, North Phoenix since 1978. Relocated here from Chicago back then.
Looks like you know plenty of people here. I look forward to getting to know you and others here, all in time. First I must learn a few more things to be able to even chat as a peer, instead of protege.
Type at ya later!

Matthew -
I see that you are ranking #1/#2 for your own name, so you're moving in the right direction.
I too have been in AZ since 1978; got my my bachelors at UofA and the MBA at ASU -- the Southwest is too beautiful to move away from.
Good luck in your SEO quest; if you can figure out best practices for determining link partners and approaching them, along with some basic on-page factors, you'll do fine.

Hi Cygnus,
1978 too! I don't know many others that have been here as long as I have. Back then we stayed at my aunts house for three months and they were just building the 61, "Superstition Parking Lot". We would use the dirt piles (future on/off ramps) as mud slides when it rained. And if you remember, the Salt got so flooded that year, the South East cities like mesa, were cut off from downtown Phoenix, all briges and roads washed out. That Salt can be mighty mean. Now they have Tempe Town Lake, wonder what will happen there during the next big flood? I just realized you were born in 1978, so I guess you do not remember the flooding... LOL!
Thanks for the FYI, I haven't ever looked for my name before.
I am always too worried about where my sites place for their KW's to search my own name, after all, I know how to find me.
I bought www.MattPellerin.com and www.MatthewPellerin.com a while back just incase a past client or referred potential client could find my site based on my name alone. So I have them pointing to my main site www.PhoenixHomes.com.
Have a great weekend all!

Morgan,
We get it from our long, super hot summers. Once the weather is excellent, which it is for at least 8-9 months, you'll see a slowing of our posts. That's the time of the year that we actually go out of our houses.
