[Urgent] How to handle this case
In Januanry, Emily, a successful business executive living and working Shanghai, was appointed manager of a firm in Hong Kong, commencing on April 1, 20X5. Having found an apartment she liked in Hong Kong, Emily engaged Bob, a builder, to do some renovation to it, the renovation until May 31 and Emily was unable to move into the apartment until June.
Due to the delay, during April and May, Emily had to fly back and live in Shanghai at the weekends to see her families, flying to Hong Kong and back each week, taking first class tickets, and stayed in a five star hotel in Hong Kong during the weeks.
Emily is now claiming that Bob should pay
1) her air fares between Shanhai and Hong Kong
2) the hotel bills
3) a "substantial sum" to compensate her for the emotional distress of being
separate from her family.
Advice Bob.

firstly, this is an SEO forum (Search Engine Optimisation), not a legal advice forum.
HOWEVER, that been said, it would depend on a) the laws of the countries (not sure if it is the country the document was signed in or where the incidents happened) b) if the contract contained any mention of payments of this nature (and if payments of this nature are in fact legal).
here's a google search for legal forums to help you on your quest to solve bob's dilema

I think it depends on how hot Emily is. (smiley here)
Psssst... Relixx and SEO Madrid are right on both counts. I'd have deleted it if not for the replies.

At least it's in the general chat section and we get to talk about hemorrhoids.

The best friend of hemorrhoids is cold and humidity... never sit on something cold or humid... lots of people sit on concrete while waiting for the bus... this is the worse thing you can do... even sitting in the grass without a butt protector can lead to hemorrhoids. Cats must not have hemorrhoids, cause mine sits on everything and even in the winter... why don't humans have cat butts... lol
