Exact kw
Thanks Morgan,
This has been a good day. I learned lessons I won't forget and offered a foot massage....It don't get much better. I'll take a rain check. The link you mentioned, I can link to any page on the www. But if you will indulge me and tell me how to do it on this forum, it is a done deal.
Thanks again M.,

AS for your onpage density, kw frequency etc its not to bad, you just need to get a lot more PR and backlinks from relevant websites and you can go from there

Your website looks ok nice banner etc, but doesnt have any alt text, doesn't seem to be much of a meta tag either really. Your welcome to have a look at mine and follow a simmilar sort of theme. Not many keywords, should be around 20 + for decent results, and obviously encourage these words throughout your text. Highlight these words, place them in bold undeline them etc. The site isn't very specific discover more niche words I bet if you search your keywords on google there's millions and millions of results ask yourself can you really compete with the top companies; consider a change of theme or a more specific area...... damm this sounds negative the more reviews you get of your site the better though in my opinion Come on morgan rip my site to pieces too !!!
I might be changing my theme towards different keywords as I've noticed through the keyword tool the amount of people competing for my keywords and the ammount of people actually searching it I'd be much beter off changing it.....
http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ is the tool everyones advised add your keywords too it, look for variations then search on google to see how many pages of competition u got.

link farm
Hello Morgan,
My question may be a gray area. Might one consider a linking situation like linkstoyou a link farm and more damaging than good. A rep from linkstoyou.com suggested that if I wanted to possibly improve my pagerank, to consider ending my relationship with them. I don't imagine that telling me that earned him any points with the company. I have since deleted the link on my pages to them. But I notice that Google has over 30 links from other sites in the computer-internet category linked to me in their search results linking my site to http://linkstoyou.com. My question is at this point, with the listings that Google already has, does it help to delete the linkstoyou link?

Not an SEO tip, but..
You may want to fix the links on the right hand side of the page, they overlap the main content in ie 6. mozilla 1.7 and firefox 0.8 ... those are just the 3 browsers I have on my system - you probably would want to check with ie 5.5 too, since many people are using that still.
One of the first things I said to myself when I visited the site was "Oh no, it's got a midi soundtrack!", but then I decided to scroll down and saw the Flash Video Professor tutorial demo. I am sure if I was somewhat confused by this, many of your non-technical (your target audience, no?) visitors may get quite confused. I would suggest moving the demo higher on the page so useres see it without scrolling, or removing it altogether to eliminate possible confusion (for me confusion = back button).
Hope that didn't sound too critical, just trying to point out what caught my attention right off the bat.
Good luck with your site!

I have to agree with bobafind, the words, "I can teach you to build web pages just like the pros" makes your layout laughable. The guy and 2 girls on the left are out of your frame and your links on the right are in the main text. If I was to stumble on this page and saw that layout I wouldn't want to know how to "build web pages just like the pros". It's not SEO but could really affect the amount of click throughs you get to Video Professor.

ugly page
Joe,
I hope you will forgige me for not returning your email and responding to your suggestions. You said you visited my site and found it a disaster. I agree. This is my first attempt at websiting. And at first, I found that things that looked good to me.like a child learning to walk, looked good to me. Over time, things began to look awful to me too. I had and have trouble with everything except the off button. I have since settled on simple. because the search engines can accept less than attractive because they are looking at code and SEO, I decided not to send the site into the abyss. I try to include simple optimization with the title, keywords and description. Things have not changed dramatically, but I am up to approx. 40 visits a day according to my cpanel, whom I do not trust by the way. After all, I have only submitted to about a hundred engines. I think Google has a thing not for me if you know what I mean. I am going to close the monologue, Joe. I could bore you for days. Since you took the time to offer your opinion of my si...te, would you mind going , once more into the breech, and tell me what you think about simplicity as seen by http://burachdesigns.com.
have a great day Joe,

While I did not say that the site was a disaster (I simply offered some tips on how to improve usablility and legibility), The new layout is MUCH easier on the eyes, and presents your content in a MUCH more accessible manner.
You may want to add some (<h1>, <h2>, <h3>) headlines to your site, including keywords and describing the paragraphs that follow.
I am curious as to whether the products that you advertise on your site are making you much profit? Have you had generated any sales yet? 40 visits a day is actually not bad. For about 2 months I had about 20 - 30 unique visitors a day, though now that I am indexed and linked a little more heavily (still way less than I need - I'm just lazy) I am getting a bit more traffic.
As everyone says, off page seo is one of the most important factors in promoting your site. Get those links and make em good!
Good luck and keep us updated.
