Hi, does anybody know if there is a relation between ranking and hosting..

I´ve got a hosting that charges $10 a year, page load ok but not like the fastest, so could that hurt my rankings?

Not necessarely, as long as it's fast enough so spiders load the pages, it will be ranked. People with broadband might not be patient enough or think there is a problem with the host and leave if the pages are too long to load.

if it's a paid service, I'm sure it's fast enough.

We switched hosts in late Sept to yahoo and noticed a huge drop in serps. I realize that was about the time of jagger but I can't help but think it had a detrimental effect. We've just switched again to a smaller hosting company that has been highly recommended on this and other forums, especially for hosting vbulletin.
