Make website seo friendly
In the present Internet era where billions of website are being surfed every day it is not enough merely to own a website or creating a website with good look but it is very important to make it reachable to the targeted visitors and provide them with all the essential elements to convert them into potential customers.
Like make it simple, avoid javascript and excessive images as google does not read images, avoid use of frames, unnecessary vertical scrolling, horizontal scrolling, organize your website, keeping navigation at the left, managing sitemap and so on.
I have tried to list out some more of the tips to make the website seo friendly as per the search engine preferences and guidelines in one of my article on How to make websites seo friendly?
I am looking for more suggestions on how can I make my website more informative and user friendly too. Will the use of blog or forum on my site make any difference?

I would also suggest to have a read on the various highly trusted blogs regarding SEO and search engines. Though I would not say that forums are bad but then there has to be some genuine source of information on which you can trust as mostly forums are much inclined for discussions and debates.

experimentation is also a key for success. it would help to know which would be best and which is not for your site, learn it from that trial and error experimentation.

I would certainly agree with Ared as that is one of the best ways of learning by experimenting yourself which one never forgets though it is comparatively a bit more time consuming I must say.

I agree, but one must realize that tinkering around and experimenting is great. How-ever if the experiment went "bad" then you may be in some more trouble in terms of drop of traffic/lose adsense money, I would recommend buying a cheap domain name and testing out any new ideas you have on that before applying it to a site that ranks well as is.

- Do proper keyword research: This is invaluable! Make sure that before you build a site, you figure out exactly what kinds of keywords you will want to target.
- Use header tags: This is a chance for you to tell the search engines what you consider to be the most important phrase on your website.
- Encourage visitor interaction: create some polls, reach for feedback, anything you can to involve your visitors.
