Yahoo! Directory ~ Any good experiences?
I'm considering moving ahead with the Yahoo! paid submission. I've read a lot of negative remarks and only one positive experience.
There must be more good things to say about Yahoo!'s paid inclusion.
Does anyone have a 'success story' they can share?
Cheers

For the directory I would do it, not site match or any other PPC campaign though

FYI FWIW: Last time I looked, Yahoo is using a redirector in their directory listings, so if you are looking for a back link and/or PR/anchor text boost, you probably won't get it - just in case you are looking for this.

I use PPC on Yahoo, last week I paid £199 to go into the directory and followed a link posted in here how to submit for free into Yahoo.
I am more than happy as I did that last week and today I am No 1 in Yahoo for some of my keywords. Not sure how that happened but yesterday 10% of my hits came from Yahoo.
So Yahoo rocks !!!

Wow! That's encouraging.
Just to ask, how many keywords did you go to number 1 for?
Anyone else have some good results from a Yahoo! Paid inclusion?

I have no idea how many keywords I went to the top for I haven't checked.
There are some at No1, I noticed a few at 2nd and then others are between 3rd and 15th.
But they have only listed my homepage so far, so I am expecting great things when they list all pages.

Thanks garden4less,
I've gone ahead and purchased the Yahoo! directory. I guess it's another waiting game now. I'll let you know how it goes.

Earlier I said Yahoo Rocked... I take this back as they have removed my listing. I think this is because of an earlier problem I had with mutliple URLs pointing at the same site. Two of which Yahoo listed me under.

Ouch! I'd take it back too.
Although they have yet to list me in the directory, I've strangely seen some surprising natural listings appear and traffic to our site from Yahoo! search.
Good luck garden4less.

There is hope yet!....
Just today Yahoo! has updated my BL's from 13 to 175. Also, I'm showing 1st page for many keywords.
The strange part is that I'm not yet in their directory and I also haven't seen SLURP visit yet.
humm, any thoughts?
