MOD Rewrite problem

Hi,

I've got a catalog site of the form:

http://www.mysite.com/catalog/brand.php?brand=Really Cool Brand

That I want to rewrite to:

http://www.mysite.com/catalog/Really-Cool-Brand.html

I thought this would do it:

Code:

RewriteRule ^/catalog/(.+)\.htm$ brand.php?brand=$1

But it does exactly nothing. What am I missing here?
