I know in Win98 MS access 2000 connects to ODBC (I think that's what it was called) but what about XP?

You can create an ODBC connection to an Access database in XP too.

How does that work? Where is the ODBC in XP?

Just go to CONTROL PANEL > Administrative Tools

There you'll see the familiar Data Sources (ODBC) tool.

You haven't mentioned how your going to be using it though? Are you sure you need to create a DSN? Typically, a DSN'less connection will make your solution more portable.

Is it a web app your creating? If so, what technology are you using? ASP, PHP, .NET?
