No penalty. Don't expect to see results for a while though. 3 weeks is a nano second in the SEO world.

How many months are ok to expect receiving some traffic in yahoo and ranking well? I thought it was ok to get listed by the search engine and that was it, since msn ranks me well for some keywords.

Best regards.

It depends on the competition but you can easily be looking at 3-6 months or more.

That's going to have a pretty small effect anyway. Links will have the largest impact and you need to build them carefully & at a realistic rate - too fast can be worse than to slow.

Yahoo seems to be ranking sites with low keyword density and lots of inbound links. Having your keywords in the link text of your inbound links seems to help rank.

Thanks, I will experiment by lowering my keyword density and the text of my inbound links. Does anyone have experience with lower density = higher rank?

Best regards.

Just look at the sites that rank well. What keyword density do they have?
