Another about sandbox

Hi guys,

what are the possible reasons why a 5-6 years old site, which has been raking for more than 100 keywords, can be sandboxed? They haven't done any tricky technique.

The content is around 2 years old. Could it have anything to do with it?

Is getting natural relevant links and getting new content the only way to accelerate the process to go out of the sandbox?

check who are you linked to. It might be that some of the site you link to are doing some thing google does not like.

How do you check your outbound links for the possibility of pointing to a bad neighborhood.

Cheers, but we're not doing any reciprocal linking, so it doesn't matter if sites in bad neighbourhoods are linking to us, because we're not linking back to them... we have very few outbound links from that site and it's to utilities supplier sites, which are not suspects of doing bad practices...

1) Did the site change owners?
2) Did the domain expire?
3) Was the site offline for a considerable amount of time?
4) Did you get a shit load of links fast?
5) Are you really referring to the Jagger updates???

Hi smindsrt,

The answer is no to the first 4 questions. It's a site with 335 pages indexed in Google, that ranked on tough keywords for years without any SEO promotion (only being SEO friendly designed and having a great domain name).

Never did any reciprocal linking, it has 5 PR and 9,020 natural inbound links (according to Yahoo!). Only bad data is that the content didn't change for 2 years, can that cause that drop?

And I don't understand the 5th question. Could you tell me how the Jagger update could affect us?
