redirect question

I was on bruceclay.com and did his Single-Page Keyword Density Analyzer and it said:

Code:
Processing http://www.blankdogtag.com

HTTP/1.1 302 (Found) Object moved
Location: shop/homepage.aspx

Processing New Source: http://www.blankdogtag.com/shop/homepage.aspx

File Size: 171 bytes
Report Date: Monday, December 26, 2005 at 11:51:28
Page is NOT LinkMaps sub-directory linked
Page is NOT PathMaps enabled
Page is NOT Dynamic Site Mapping enabled
CSS commands are skipped

Is this type of redirect HTTP/1.1 302 ok, or is this really bad for our search engine optimization? also, does all those linkmaps pathmaps mean anything?

we are having problems because the site is written in .net ASP and it is pretty SEO unfriendly, is this just an addition to that?

Thanks,

Eric

Hi,

301 redirect would be better (especially in Google), and should be easy to sort out if you managed to set up a 302 redirect.

Yes, I've had a very quick look at your site, and my feeling is that you could have problems to get indexed to start with, because you have two variables in your dynamic urls, and maybe you have a session id in there as well?

Dilligaf swears by "isapi rewrite" to make asp net urls more se friendly...

Cheers,
Paz.
