ECBSO you can "buy" traffic by putting (banner) adverts on other sites, paying a fee for each clickthrough (PPC=pay per click), or a commission.
For a new site it can help you get traffic in the period before you start ranking. It's not for beginners though, in my opinion.
Cheers,
Paz.

You can buy 25,000 hits at easysitehits.com, but it's all lies on the website. I did research before I bought the service for $100, knowing it could not be as good as it sounded. I did some research before and found that others have gotten like 5 subscriptions from 25,000 hits, I figured with my profit margin ($4,000 - $20,000 per deal) it would be worth it. I've gotten about 500 hits and so far nothing. they claim to be redirecting traffic from old domain names, but its just BS. I have been non-stop searching for the easy answers and have spent over $500 doing so.
The way I see, at least im past that phase in SEO and I can move on to the things that are real. The truth is, if someone had the secret, they wouldn't share it with you, guess what. I wouldn't.

Good Topic, I would say if you want traffic to a website you need to stir things up a bit.
CREATE THE BUZZ..
If you have a product or service that is worth while talk about it on your site and in press releases get it out there. Just don't duplicate yourself and kill your content. If you build it correctly they will come, but good SEO techniques take time as for the directory submission I have found on my test sites that submitting to fast can hurt you more than its worth. Getting one-way links from quality sites in your same theme will help more. It's getting much harder to buy your way to the top. You need to read about what is happening and use test sites to determine if something can hurt or help.

You ask what is the best method to get traffic? in my opinion the best method is to submit articles to directories There is nothing like good useful articles to build traffic. I know from experience. I have so far not used submission software but I have downloaded the trail version of a new one, <snip> to check out.

Alright....dont take what i say as fact. But im pretty sure at some point in the last 2 years i saw something on TV about a company that offered something like that. You pay the X amount of dollars and they guarantee X amount of traffic to your site. What they actually did though, was use thier own computers to keep clicking through your site to bump up the hits. They made it look like the traffic was boosted, but they werent actually unique click throughs, they were just the same people clicking through your site. Anyways, i think in the end they got the smack laid down on them, but it was a while ago. It's one of those vague memories that you only remember the important bits, like how they were scamming people. LOL.
And when it really comes down to it, Why would you want un relevant traffic to your site? If they arent planning on staying on your site at all, whats the point? I still believe that if you want to do well with your site, you should make it for the site user first, and the search engine later. Obviously SEO is important, but it shouldnt be taken as far as to make the site less usable for the end user.
Anyways, thats my 2 cents...its not necessarily fact its just my brain...

I have some math: if you buy 25,000 visitors for $250 you will receive ZERO sales and probably about 15,000 fake visitors. If the traffic was so good they wouldn't sell it. Start with PPC and do your SEO research.

Yes, when submitting articles too it is important to make sure one submits to right directories under correct categories, otherwise it will be a waste of time. I used to submit articles manually now I use a submission program to reduce the hassle involved, but whatever the method it is important to choose relevant directories to subm
