Yeah I am having similar problems with yahoo - it seems to take a really long time to get ranked. I am looking into trying out the site map feature. Robots however are not having any difficulting visiting my sites frequently.

Hi,
Yes, sounds a similar problem too mine, I get spidered by yahoo daily but my pages do not appear in the index.
I have done 2 things last night which I am hoping will get me back in the index quickly, which are:
1) Created an RSS feed which I have put at the bottom of my pages. I have also created a my yahoo account and added this RSS feed to my yahoo page.
2) Paid for a text link from a PR7 website. I did this a few months ago when my site wasnt getting spidered by yahoo. About a week later just my homepage was in the index and placing well in the results. I let this text link expire a while ago.
I'll give it a week and then let you know if I have reappeared in their index. Fingers crossed!!
Mark

Hi,
Just to let you know if you are interested, my homepage is now back in the yahoo.co.uk index and placing well for my keywords. My other pages have not yet been indexed.
I think that this was due to the PR7 link which I have purchased as my site was back in the index the day after my link went live.
Thanks
Mark

My sites disappeared from the yahoo index yet again. Has anyone had similar problems with one of their sites? Last time I emailed yahoo, my site had definately not been banned and I aint made any changes since.

Hi Paz,
If you use the following link, the PR7 is number 3 in the results but when I clicked on it, it is showing PR0, but it is definately a PR7, I can tell this if I go to the sites homepage and then click on the 'Arts' link from the left, which opens the same URL with a PR of 7. This seems a bit strange, as I am sure a couple of days ago, the PR7 link always appeared first in the results when performing a link command in yahoo, now its dropped to third.

Thanks

Hi,
Well of course Google's PR and Yahoo's assessment of a page are two different things, but I wasn't suprised to hear that a high Google PR link would get you indexed in yahoo.
I'm wondering if the page has changed somehow in terms of the number of outbound links and the type. I'm seeing an affiliate link there and a few other "online degrees" links. I'm wondering if it's a different page to the one you signed up for....
Cheers,
Paz.

I dont really know whats happening, but my sites homepage is back in the yahoo index today. Yahoo seems a bit strange to me, the only way i've been able to get my homepage indexed in the past is by either buying high PR links or subscribing to search submit express. You would of thought that a site over a year old should be able to get indexed without these things, especially since I have lots of natural related backlinks.

I'd start blogging about whacky news stories involving pets - you know funny pics, heroic tales, but not keyword-filled spam stuff. The idea would be that people (other bloggers) would find a funny story and link back to you. I've been doing it for a few months and I've found it's really effective if the subject matter is right. I can't get people excited about my bankruptcy blog though... haha
Cheers,
Paz.
