Yes, I have seen changes on my google backlinks on several datacenters. I dont think its anything to get excited about, what benefit does it really have to a website? Google keeps track of all your backlinks regularly but only displays a very small percentage of them via the 'link:' command.

Yea Google doesn't display each and every link to our site.. it only displays some of them which seems important to it..

Exactly, google is not like msn and yahoo which shows all inlinks or back links to you for your website.

You are right Pets4Homes. Google BL update has nothing to do with G rankings. But any update in Google is every time a news.  |

For what it's worth, I am not seeing an increase as of yet. According to Google Sitemaps, Googlebot last visited our homepage Sept 19. On a related note, Yahoo! has been showing increases in IBL's on a daily basis.
Any increase, displayed or not, is a good thing.
