Interesting and I read through the article, but Google can't seem to index 24 billion pages they claim they have now properly - I wonder how useful an index of 100 billion supplemental pages will be... haha
Seriously though, the patent wasn't not so much about the size of the index but how they manage to search through it to give an impression of real time searching - and that's impressive.
It's a shame there's no permanent link to the article - the nearest thing I could find was this printer friendly version.
