I don't think that number of clicks is one of the google creteria in link popularity. It comes from the word link it means they count the number of backlinks of your site. The more relevant backlinks you have the more you get link popularity.

Let's assume Google takes in consideration CTR. Now google knows that people would boost their own CTR as this company is doing, so , if they considered this factor important, they would monitor the IP, search trend and everything related to your CTR. I think with Google Analytics this is what they intend to do eventually.

Unless they built a way to discount recurring IP's automatically, and stop people from benefiting from clicking their own link, its not likely. Its not that they couldn't build this, i just don't think it will be right away and it is definitely not counted now. It would be waaaaay to easy to manipulate, so they would have to really fine tune that if they added CTR consideration to rankings.

Whether they do it or not today, it will certainly evolve as a factor in the times to come because let's not forget that is how Adwords work and people with higher CTR get the top place for less!

Yes this doesnot matter

that your guys clicks on your site because it will be counted clicks from a single IP address so no benefit even if you clicks from diffrent IPs then from this method your ranking are not going to increase anyhow. Just concentrate on getting Good quality links for your website and then you can have Good rankings thats it this is the only funda for increasing rankings.

i too agree with gen and monte as they said if we could just click and rank our site from second page to first then everyone would do that there wouldn't be anyone seoing or building link popularity..
