The latest I've read is that top SEOs are now saying June before the next update, what is this? twice a year page rank updates?

I need a PR update because I've got a PR 0 site that needs the increase to rank properly in SERPS

anyone confirm that this is the case for a June update?

There's no way to accurately predict when updates will occur, or PR exports.

However, Google re-calculate PR everyday internally. The exporting of the PR data to the toolbar won't make a blind bit of difference to your sites ranking in the SERP's - it just allows you to see what your PR is, which is always nice to know.

Well all i can say is don't focus more on PR.. I read on matt cutts that google are going to slow the PR update...because most people are focus on having PR than other ways to improve their site...

There is no such information. But one thing is sure...Google itself knows about the next PR update....no one can know.

hehehe...it's bizarre. When it comes to the subject of PR in forums, people only seem to read/see the things they want to see and ignore the rest. Why do people do that?

During a PR export/update, if you check the PR of a URL against a number of datacenters and get mixed results (i.e. if they don't all report exactly the same PR), then it's likely that there is an export/update in progress.

One of my favourite resources for doing this kind of check is:
http://livepr.raketforskning.com/

It's fast, and checks a large number of datacenters.

Currently, there is no PR update or export visible. No-one on any forum is going to have any idea when the next update/export will be. Anything anyone says about is total speculation or wishful thinking. Top SEO's could no more tell you the numbers for next weeks lottery, than they could tell you when the next PR update/export will happen.
