using same template
hi - i am creating several sites and using the same basic template. For example one site offers toyota accessories and the other offers nissan accessories and so on.
they each have their own db's and unique content. but my concern is in the actual php code. we are basically using the same 'template' from site to site.
Do you foresee any problems with this?

The wrapper has no impact on the candy... in this case, the code is irrelevant, it's the content that google is interested in. I use the same design for many sites... cause I don't care about the look really... it's what is written and how it's structured that counts. Of course the page has to be crawled properly, but that's all.

When it comes to SEO, the content is what makes the difference. Search engines don't read your html codes so, you can use the same or similar template for various web sites. It shouldn't be a concern at all.

ok, thanks for the replies. I try to mix up the design as much as possible just so they are not exact - but the content is definetly different.

it can't affect your site rankings.. just make sure they have different contents.

Templates are nothing to worry about. It's like saying that since HTML is found all over the net, so making a new website means getting banned or penalized. The actual contents and links of the websites would determine their ranks.
