1-5 could likely post 1,000 links per week.
If you came up with some kind of geometric heirarchy you could get 75,000 or so links in a week.
you have a list of 5 sites and each new member posts 20 links to each site.
Than the top link gets bumped so the newbies link goes at the bottum of the list.
When the newbie signs up 4-5 people they each do the same and so on until everybody interested in the club has joined.
So.

the five poeple you sign up, multiply that by the set number of posts 20
That's 100 links
The five people they sign up, multiply that by the set number of posts 20
That's 500 links
600 total
the five they each sign up, multiply that by the set number of posts 20

now the five they sign up, multiply that by the set number of posts 20

now on the last level

78,100 total link just for posting 100 and telling some people about it.
