Anchor Text from Off Page Factor

What do you think about Anchor Text? It is very important factor to boost the ranking. If the keyword which I would like to get top in Google is so high competitive and they used keyword in anchor text. Some website use only single keyword like "discount hotels" in anchor text . What do you think what should you do? If you focus on the keyword " discount hotels " This keyword , I think many people use them for anchor text.

Please advise me for improve ranking from anchor text. Thanks in Advance.

Anchor text is a critical part of off-page SEO. It sounds to me from your post that you already knew that though. I picked up from your post though that you were wondering about whether you should use a single keyword or a series of keywords in your anchor text?

I'd definitely say use a single keyword phrase - like discount hotels. However, when you're out looking for link exchanges, or receive a link from another site, be sure to vary the anchor text amongst the various keywords that you're going for.

Hopefully that answers your question, nuttakorn. If not, please feel free to let me know.

Anchor text is the visible text for links. Example, on SEO Bobs signature line above your post, the anchor text is "SEO Tutorial".

Which one is better for using anchor text below?
"Discount Hotels - Hotel Reservations - Save Hotels up to 70% Off."
"Discount Hotels"

Should I add more another keyword into anchor text or use only specific keyword for anchor text? Which one get more weight for ranking in Google and Yahoo?

Discount Hotels would be better anchor text. Your anchor text gives you points towards the keywords that are in the anchor text, so if you have 10 words in there, then you're only going to get 1/10th of the potential effectiveness. Furthermore, it also looks a bit weird having a big blue line under a whole row of text. What i would do is have links from different places say different things. ie: you could have a link from this forum in your signature (why don't you do that?) that says "Discount Hotels", and if one of your friends gives you a link, you could have it say "Hotel Reservations" if that was the keyword you were targeting.

BTW, to add your signature, go into the userCP in the top left, and click on custom signature. The syntax for a url would be

(url=http://www.domain.com)Anchor Text(/url) and you want to replace the ( with [
