Big jump in Yahoo rankings
We got a huge bump in our Yahoo rankings for many terms today. Does anyone know if Yahoo did an update or changed their algorithm? Not complaining, mind you...

Your not kidding...

I have just taken a look and we have loads of 1st position placings.

Looks like they may be putting more weight on inbound link text. As they are the terms I have jumped for.

I didn't even notice until you said something. I had two big keywords move from position #105 and #107 to #5 and #7

From i can tell looks like a combo between slurp and ink results I heard that yahoo may be getting there own algo soon and maybe this is the beginning of it

Links from the same IP aren't being devalued it seems
Noticing it also today. All the effort being put into google optimization is just now beginning to show in both Yahoo and MSN.

Good thing is these other engines, Yahoo and MSN in this latest update of theirs, don't seem to be devalueing links coming from the same IP. We have several thousand coming from five IPs.

You know that thread in the DP forum where the dude was offering 95k links from five different IPs with all these different anchor texts/URL combinations... we signed up for it early on, and well the effects of this is showing clearly on Yahoo and MSN lately.

I'm not complaining. It's a good thing for us.

Noticed that here too. Went from in some cases the 500's down to top 10!!!!
