Ok, here is one that many of you may already know the answer to but doesn't make any sense to me. I have been tweaking my page for about 2 months and getting better and better placement on a number of SEs but couldn't get on Yahoo. Finally, yesterday I showed up at #1 for adjustable air beds and air beds, and # 2 for adjustable beds. These are the exact smae ranks as I have in Google. This morning I don't show up at all... Any ideas?

Your best bet is to wait it out for a while. I am in the same boat with yahoo, pages showing one day and not the next. I would suggest concentrating on others things as yahoo seems to be a bit of a lazy updater, your pages will stick in there soon

The good thing is that you know that your pages are capable of holding there own in yahoo.

I read in another forum that Yahoo had server problems. I believe they must have reverted back to the Google listings for a short period. Which is when you saw your listings in the #1 position. Once the problem was resolved Yahoo went back to their listings.
I dont believe Yahoo has done a real update since they dropped Google. I have several sites listed in their results. And they have not fluctuated at all.

Actually thats a good point, I had forgot about that. seo guy mentioned in this thread http://www.seo-guy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=647 that he had noticed google results on yahoo, so it could have been that

As far as I know I have. They have all of my new pages on their server (when I do the site:www.vsssleep.com thing)

How many pages do you see? - currently on yahoo for site:www.vsssleep.com i see 20 results and on google I see 159

As I was saying before my site has been in and out of yahoo - one day showing 1490 results and then back to 20 results

It can be frustrating but I really would'nt worry too much, keep an eye on it and have lots of patience

I have no results with the "site: command"

What does that mean? Yahoo has nothing cached from my site? But I'm at position 8.

Yahoo is still ranking sites that are no longer on the Web also. They have not updated my cached pages for a couple of months. The only good thing is that if you are high in their serps... you will stay there forever, or at least until they finally do an update. Yahoo is at the wheel.

I get more hits from MSN than Yahoo... but do not look at either one.
Google is already taking enough of my time as it is.

I don't SEO for any engine except Gbot. The only exception being that I maintain my META Title, Description and Keyword strings for Yahoo and others SE's that are still META based.
