I have a 4 week old site, ranking high in MSN and starting to rank in yahoo, however, when I search www.mysite.com in google, its listed but there are no backlinks shown to my site, I dont even have a PR, is this normal and should I get the linking back sites once I get a PR?

This is totally normal. Even when you get a good number of links pointing to your site Google will only show you a handful. That and they only update their displayed list quarterly so you have at least a couple of months before you'll see anything.

Just because you can't see them doesn't mean that they don't count though and most use Yahoo or MSN to check links because they are alot closer to reality.
